Enrollment Limitations:

We will need a minimum of 36 students per bus to participate in the club. Buses fill up fast and seats are first come first served. Bus number one can only hold 50 students. If we get less than 36 extra students beyond the first 50 we will have to cancel bus number two and turn those students away from club)

Non-Epic Day Pass Holders (7-Springs)

NOT AN OPTION THIS YEAR

Epic Pass Holders (7-Springs)

$111.00

  • Vail Resorts (the new owners of 7-Springs) are not offering Discounted Group Lift tickets this year like 7-Springs has done for us for over 30 years!

  • ALL Members must have a FULL Season Epic Pass or at least a 3-Day (or more) Epic Day Pass

  • The money will pay for Transportation to and from the ski resort for our three trips as well as all Chaperones expenses (Including Food, lift tickets, rentals, etc.).

  • Food, Lessons, Equipment and EPIC DAY PASS are not included in this price.

  • Students will need to purchase AND BRING WITH THEM their Epic Day Pass ($70 - $331)

  • Students will also need to bring money for dinner and/or snacks.

See the ESTIMATED TOTAL COST at the bottom of this page!

Authorization:

A parent must complete the Ski Club Medical Authorization Form
so you can receive treatment in case of an emergency.

It must be completed, NOTARIZED, and returned in an envelope

along with your payment and Signed Parent Permission and Release Form.

(These forms will be emailed to the parent email address provided on the online registration form [Link is on the last page])

Payment:

Cash or checks are acceptable.

Payment & Refund Policy

(Exact Cash only or Make Checks payable to “FRSD - MS Ski Club” and indicate on the check memo the Student’s first & last name)

Missed Trip Policy:

NO REFUNDS

When you sign up for the club, you are reserving a seat on the bus. These seats are limited and in high demand. Therefore, if you missed any trip, due to family or personal reasons, it will result in a loss of your portion of the transportation cost ($37.00 for that trip’s bus cost).

Additionally, 7Springs requires all groups to give a final Count and be fully paid SEVEN DAYS IN ADVANCE!

Because of this, we will not be able to make ANY changes to the number of lift tickets or lessons after this deadline. Seven Springs has told us that they will not issue refunds for missed trips

Because of this new Vail Resorts rule, anyone that does not have an Epic Day Pass, will also forfeit their lift ticket cost for any missed trip. ($55.00 for the Group Rate lift ticket)

Additional Cost to Consider

to consider before joining

1) Food

Not every restaurant at 7-Springs is open on Thursday nights, but First Tracks, in the main ski lodge, is the place to pick up a quick fulfilling bite to eat, featuring our mashed potato meltdown. Pizza, chicken fingers, burgers or our soon-to-be famous pepperoni rolls! Located on the main level of the Ski Lodge, First Tracks is open daily during ski season and you can can typically get a meal for between $10 - $20.

2) Student Activity Fee

An annual $50.00 nonrefundable activity fee, which is due September 1st (or at least before the student participates in any extracurricular activities), shall be applied to all students in grades 7-12. The payment of the fee permits each student to seek the opportunity to participate in any or all of the extracurricular activities, clubs, or interscholastic athletic programs offered by the district. For programs that require competitive processes among students for final selection, payment of this fee only guarantees a student the opportunity to participate in the selection process. All funds generated by this fee will be deposited into the district’s general fund to support continued enrichment opportunities for all students. (From Board Policy 122)

Parents/Guardians of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch programs may request a waiver from paying the activity fee by notifying the district in writing.

Fees will be set by the Board annually.

Failure to pay the annual fee will prevent a student from participating in any extracurricular activity, club or interscholastic athletic program until the fee has been paid.

Payment of Student Activity FeeThere are now two methods of paying the fee.  You may either send a check with the completed form or pay online. Both ways can be started on the Athletics Webpage.

3) Ski or Snowboard Lessons: (SEE LESSONS PAGE FOR MORE DETAILS)

Wednesday02.png

4) Your Equipment:

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE (Own or Rent) THEIR OWN EQUIPMENT Before our first trip (Skis, Boots, Poles, Snowboards, Helmet, etc).

Students will store their equipment in a secured room during the day of the trip. Just come in to the office lobby BEFORE 8:00 AM

WE DO NOT RENT FROM 7 SPRINGS: If you need to rent your equipment, do not plan on renting it at 7-springs (Renting from 7springs on the day of our trips will take away a lot of your valuable time on the slopes.)

If you choose to RENT this year...

We HIGHLY recommend you rent GOOD, QUALITY equipment for the entire season from...
