Franklin Regional Junior High / Middle School has been participating in the Pennsylvania Science Olympiad Competitions since 1988. Under the direction of the original coach, Mr. John Blank, the team made several appearances at the state tournament with the team's best finish coming in 1992 (3rd place). As more and more teams began to join the tournaments, the competition became tighter and tighter. The current coaches, Mr. Joe Racchini and Mrs. Jennifer Joyce, have been working together with the team since they took it over (2001-Present). During this time the team has qualified for the state tournament EVERY Year. The team also finished 5th in the state back to back years in 2016 and 2017.
Since its founding year, The Franklin Regional Junior High / Middle School Science Olympiad team has guided over 300+ students in to the explorations of different field of science.
